Who We Serve & What We Do Best

April 22, 2022

It is estimated there are over 260,000 financial advisors in the U.S. alone. (1) With so many options to choose from, how do you find one whose values and expertise align perfectly with your financial needs? In this article, we will break down the types of clients we serve at Wellstone Wealth Management, how we serve them, and what we do best. In the end, we hope you will be able to confidently decide if our firm is the right choice for you.

Who We Are

Founded in 1990, our firm takes a proactive approach to wealth management.

We know that wealth means something a little different to everyone, so our team works with you to understand your values, unique goals, and expectations. Together, we help you develop a tailored, comprehensive life-centered plan built to help you achieve your desired lifestyle and legacy goals.

What We Do

We offer a comprehensive approach—we do not just manage your money, we help you take control of your financial future and manage your life in a way that resonates with your most deeply held values and beliefs. Using our Return on Life (ROL) philosophy, we focus on several components in addition to your wealth:

  • Your well-being: leisure, health, and relationships
  • Your progress: work, residence, achievement, and learning
  • Your freedom: purpose, autonomy, and security

How We Can Help

We provide our clients with life-centered financial-behavioral counseling by asking questions like “How can you live the best life possible with the money you have?” We develop trusted relationships with our clients because they know we focus on more than just their return on investments.

As a client, we will put you at the center of your life-centered financial plan, not your money. This means that you are the driving factor behind how your money is managed, spent, and invested. Everything we do financially is done with your Return on Life in mind. Our process includes 6 steps:

  • Free Consultation: Can we add value? Are we a good fit?
  • Values and Goals Identification: Identifying and defining your personal objectives; this is the foundation of your plan.
  • Plan Development: Creating your life-centered financial plan
  • Plan Implementation: Recommending your personalized investment strategy and putting your plan into place
  • Bigger-Picture View: Looking at other aspects of your financial life including estate planning, taxes, and risk management
  • Ongoing Support: Monitoring your plan and results to help keep you on track

Who We Serve

Our clients are mostly people who have recently retired or are close to it (typically five years or less). They are corporate executives and upper-management couples who have reached a point in their lives where retirement planning has taken center stage in their thoughts. They may be empty nesters or nearing that point, and they are looking for qualified professionals to help them find financial confidence and peace of mind.

Our clients have a vision of what they want their retirement to be but are not sure how to get there. They are looking to live a life of meaning and purpose and to create a lasting legacy for their loved ones.

Why Clients Choose Us

Clients choose us because they have a vision for their retirement and know they need our help to achieve it. Our life-centered approach is a unique perspective that adds value to our clients’ lives, both financially and personally. Anyone can manage your return on investments, but few will stop to think about your return on life.
